SAANTHIUM
SAANTHIUM is a Burkinabè brand of innovative energy solutions developed by Volta Energie. It stands for a new generation of technologies for storing, managing and making smart use of energy.
The name
SAANTHIUM combines “SAAN”, inspired by words for lightning in the national languages Mooré and Dioula, with “THIUM”, a reference to lithium and, more broadly, to modern electrochemical energy storage. One strong idea: the power of lightning for tomorrow’s energy.
The range includes lithium batteries such as the SAANB 16K and SAANB 8K, and All In One systems that combine energy storage and conversion, such as the SAANA 6.2K16 and SAANA 3.5K8.
History
Launched in 2026 by Volta Energie, SAANTHIUM was created to build a Burkinabè energy brand offering modern, high-performance storage solutions suited to the realities of the African market.
It is part of a wider vision of energy and technological sovereignty. Faced with dependence on imported equipment and a growing need for reliable power, the brand brings innovative and accessible storage technologies to households, businesses and institutions.
SAANTHIUM is developing a range based on lithium and sodium technologies, with batteries of different capacities and All In One systems. The brand also carries an environmental ambition: responsible energy use, recycling and the circular economy.
